Hand reviewing a verified document check on a laptop

Loan verification and field verification software, from request to report

We build and run the systems that check a borrower before a loan is paid out: identity, address, business and collateral checks in the field, sanctions checks, verification reports that cannot be changed quietly, and billing from the same records. Kowtha has run its field verification on a platform we built, in daily use since 2025.

The Problem

What gets in the way

Requests typed in from email

Loan requests arrive by email and someone re-types the borrower and loan details into each system.

Field checks on paper and chat apps

Visits are recorded on paper forms and photos sent over messaging apps, which are hard to check and harder to audit.

Reports change after they are sent

Nothing stops a report from being edited after submission, and nobody can show what changed or why.

Billing reconciled by hand

Verified work is matched to invoices by hand at the end of every cycle.

What We Build

What we build and run for you

  • Email intake

Loan request emails are read and turned into loan records, so nobody types a request in by hand.

  • Field app

Assignment queues on the verifier's phone, with geotagged photos and forms captured at the visit.

  • Locked reports

Submitted data is locked. Any later change goes through a request the reviewer can see.

  • Sanctions and identity checks

Borrower names checked against the OFAC list and other sources as part of the same case.

  • Verification reports

PDF reports generated from the captured data, with the photos attached.

  • Invoicing from the same records

Invoices built from the verified work instead of a separate spreadsheet.

AI Engineering

AI for the reading before the visit and after it

A language model reads loan request emails and creates the loan record. Documents such as bills and certificates are read into fields with the source page kept, and checked against each other for dates, duplicates and amounts. Reviewers decide on anything flagged.

About our AI engineering

Security

Tested with Securetom before it goes live

Before a system goes live, we can test it with Securetom, the AI security product we built. You get the findings and the fixes before launch.

How we test what we build

How It Works

From first call to running every day

  1. 1

    Map your checks

We document how requests arrive, which checks you run, what the report must show and how you bill.

  2. 2

    Build the system

Intake, field app, review queue and reports, built to match your process.

  3. 3

    Run it

We host, monitor and support it, and ship new verification formats without an app store wait.

  4. 4

    Add checks and lenders

New check types, new lenders and new report formats on the same system.

Loan verification: common questions

Both. A lender can run its own checks on the system, or a verification agency can run them for several lenders, with role-based access deciding who sees which cases.

Submitted data is locked. Any change goes through an edit request the reviewer can see, with who asked, what changed and why.

Yes. The field app runs on the verifier's phone, with assignment queues and geotagged capture, and new verification formats ship without an app store update.

Yes. Borrower names can be checked against the OFAC SDN list as part of each case. Our free OFAC search shows how the name matching works, including spelling differences.
