Eight Development Goals Tracked Daily, Down to the Individual, From Department Data
The problem
Andhra Pradesh tracks progress on eight Sustainable Development Goals by measuring whether welfare interventions reach individual households and residents. The data lived in the survey apps of several departments, each with its own format and its own refresh cycle.
District and state authorities needed daily, comparable indicators, and a way to see where interventions were reaching people and where they were not. The state needed an SDG dashboard built on the departments' own data.
Data in many apps
- Indicators spread across departments' survey apps
- Different formats and refresh cycles
- Periodic manual compilation for reviews
One platform, daily
- Daily API feeds from source departments, with history
- District and demographic comparisons
- A district map for each of the eight goals
- Plain-language questions answered with tables and extracts
