Sagebuyer.ai: Brand Identification and Personalized ESG Scoring

The Challenge

Consumers trying to buy sustainably face information overload and little transparency about the environmental, social, and governance practices of the brands they encounter. ESG insights are fragmented across many sources, and the parent company behind a product is often not obvious from the product page. Traditional scoring models produce one generic score that ignores what an individual shopper actually values. Any useful answer has to arrive in real time, during the shopping session, without interrupting it.

Our Solution

BeyondScale supported the development of Sagebuyer.ai as a Chrome extension that sits inside the shopping journey. A brand intelligence model trained on web page metadata analysis identifies the brand and its parent company for any product the user encounters online and returns product context instantly.

A personalized ESG scoring engine lets users set their sustainability priorities through a short onboarding survey, then tailors the displayed environmental, social, and governance data to those values with dynamic AI-based scoring. The identified parent company is connected to an extensive ESG database so the information shown is relevant and up to date, delivered through a non-intrusive extension on a scalable architecture.
