IT Asset Management for Government of Andhra Pradesh

The Government of Andhra Pradesh managed IT assets across 15,000+ offices statewide. Asset tracking was handled through a patchwork of spreadsheets, paper forms, and email threads. When audit time came around, staff spent weeks manually reconciling records, visiting locations to verify equipment, and chasing down discrepancies. Assets would go missing, warranties would expire without anyone noticing, and procurement decisions were based on outdated or incomplete data. The organizations needed a centralized system that could give leadership real-time visibility into what they owned, where it was, and what condition it was in.

We built a web-based IT asset management platform tailored to the specific workflows of the state government. The system supports full lifecycle tracking: procurement, deployment, transfers between locations, maintenance, and retirement. Every asset gets a unique identifier with barcode support for fast physical audits. Staff at any location can log in, scan a barcode, and instantly see the asset's full history. The platform includes automated alerts for warranty expirations, maintenance schedules, and assets approaching end-of-life. We built reporting dashboards that give leadership a live view of asset counts by location, department, and status, as well as cost analytics for procurement planning. Role-based access controls ensure that each office sees only what it needs to, while central administrators get the full picture.
